NATCHEZ — Services for Milton Eugene Morris, 71, of Natchez, who died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, in Natchez, will be 11 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
A Rosary will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mr. Morris was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Wilkinson County, the son of John Morris and Augustine Morris.
He attended St. Francis Elementary Catholic School and was a graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. He furthered his studies at Alcorn State University where he received a degree in business administration.
Milton was a retired Vietnam U.S. Marine veteran. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Mr. Morris enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching ESPN, Game of Thrones, the Animal Channel, reading and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include a devoted wife, Betty Joyce Morris; three devoted daughters, Dr. Paula D. Julian and husband, Corey, and Dr. Amelia D. Davis, all of Baton Rouge, and Lillian Millet Conner and husband, Edward, of Natchez; goddaughter, Raenetta Robertson; one brother, George Morris Sr. of Natchez; six grandchildren, Kristian B. Dobard, Esq., Benjamin Strauder Jr., Milton C. Strauder, Kali M. Dobard, Christopher L. Young Jr., and Demi Davis; one devoted brother-in-law, Ray Carr Sr.; one devoted sister-in-law, Lena Butler and husband, Leon; a devoted friend, Clarence McQuarters; and other relatives and friends.
