FERRIDAY — Services for Valerie Ann Prosser, 65, of Ferriday, who died Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, from injuries sustained in a house fire at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Charles Chandler officiating.
Burial will follow at Panola Cemetery in St. Joseph under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Ms. Prosser was born Sept. 12, 1951, in Newellton, La., the daughter of Theodore Roosevelt Prosser Jr. and Anetta Frazier.
Survivors include two sons, John Prosser and Kenneth Prosser and wife, Keisha; one daughter, Treniece Washington and husband, Maurice, all of Ferriday; two brothers, Terrance Prosser and Gerry Prosser, both of Greenville; four sisters, Juanita Walker and husband, Tim, of St. Joseph, Fannie E. Frazier of New Orleans, Flora Marshall of Houston and Jacquelyn Higgonbottom of Chicago; one aunt, Ellen M. McGinnis of New Orleans; and nine grandchildren.
