Caleb Poole had a touchdown pass, a touchdown run and a kickoff return for a touchdown and Steven Franks had three touchdown runs as the WCCA Rams defeated the Amite School Center Rebels 46-14 Friday night in an MAIS District 5-AA game.

Poole returned the game’s opening kickoff 73 yards for a touchdown. He threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Bennett Vannoy with 22 second left until halftime and had a 2-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter.

Franks had touchdown runs of 5 yards and 1 yard in the first quarter and 12 yards in the fourth quarter. Braden Passinger had a 2-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter.

Poole finished with 175 yards on 14 carries and went 3-for-8 passing for 76 yards with one interception. Franks had 10 carries for 64 yards and Passinger had nine carries for 58 yards.

WCCA (7-1) next plays at Trinity Episcopal Friday at 7 p.m. with the district championship on the line.
