NATCHEZ — Services for Juel Green Mallett Grimes, 86, of Madison, and Tallulah, La. formerly of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, in Madison, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Laird Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Broom officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Grimes was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Phoenix, the daughter of James Severin Green and Grace Lee Green.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Natchez. She was a long time employee of Butts Insurance Agency of Natchez.
Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard E. Mallett and husband, Claude W. Grimes Sr.; one son, William “Bill” Mallett; one sister, Hazel; and one brother, Bobby.
Survivors include three sons, John W. Mallett and wife, Melinda, of Madison, Howard Keith Mallett of Natchez, and Charles W. Mallett and wife, Lynellen, of Birmingham, Ala.; one step-son, Bill Grimes of Tallulah; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Daniel W. Mallett, Christopher K. Mallett, Charles W. Avery Mallett and Christopher McPherson, and friends, Timothy Bradshaw and Bill Rice.
