NATCHEZ — Services for Maggie Lee “Betty Smoot” Griffin, 88, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bright Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Noble Jr. officiating. 
Burial will follow at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Survivors include one daughter, Lyvonne Russell Smoot; two grandsons, Kevin M. Smoot and Courtland M. Smoot; two great-grandchildren, Kelaijah Smoot and Kevin Smoot Jr.; and her telephone sisters, cousins and friends.
