NATCHEZ — A stolen four-wheeler was returned to its owner Thursday after a resident reported the ATV parked under the Natchez Trace Parkway overpass in the Greenfield subdivision.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten said in a statement that an “observant resident” reported a red Honda Rancher parked on the roadway in the grass. After a vehicle identification number search returned no results, an investigator contacted Great River Honda to identify the owner.
Deputies contacted the owner, who works out of town and was unaware that a four-wheeler had been stolen. A search of the owner’s property revealed that a second four-wheeler is also missing.
The missing ATV is a red 2013 Honda Rancher 420.
Patten extended thanks the resident who alerted ACSO to the four-wheeler.
“This is the kind of cooperation we strive to get from all our citizens,” Patten said.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the missing four-wheeler is asked to contact ACSO at 601-442-2752.
