NATCHEZ- Services for Helen D. Rayne, 94, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. John Hamilton officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Rayne was born June 16, 1922, in Greenville, the daughter of David Smith and Ethel Monette Brandon Smith.
She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church where she sang in the church choir.
Mrs. Rayne was active in Habitat for Humanity for a number of years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanford Rayne Jr.; two sisters, Mary Jane Hornsby and Margaret Wesley; one brother, David Smith.
Survivors include two sons, Alan C. Rayne Sr. and wife, Molly, of New Castle, Colo., and Robert T. Rayne and wife, Kathleen, of Christiansburg, Va.; six grandchildren, Chris Rayne, Eric Rayne, Matthew Rayne, Sean Rayne, Kelly Rayne Gary and Sara Rose Rayne; 12 great-grandchildren; eight great- great-grandchildren; and special cousin, Henry Huck Mahier.
