ROXIE — Services for Monroe Cameron, 57, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Promise Hospital of Miss-Lou in Vidalia, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Higdon Community Church in Roxie with the Rev. Charles Butler officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Cameron was born Aug. 15, 1959, in Fayette, the son of Daniel O’Quinn and Inez Cameron.
He was a member of Medgar Evers Solution Adult Center.
Mr. Cameron was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Ruby Cameron.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Nancy Ellis; three brothers, Charles O’Quinn of Jackson, Russ Cameron of Hamburg and Richard Cameron of Fayette; two sisters, Jewel Cameron of Roxie and Rosie Scott of Union Church; three sisters-in-law, Tammy, Yolanda and Bernice Ellis; two brothers-in-law, Lamont Ellis and James Banks of Fayette; three special friends, Ervin Grayson, Benny Nix and Charles Houston; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
