VIDALIA — Services for William H. “Buddy” Arrington Sr., 90, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Friday at Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Doug Logan officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church with Masonic rites at 6 p.m.
Mr. Arrington was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Antonish, Mo., the son of James and Dora Glasper Arrington.
He was retired from the water plant and a veteran of World War II. He was also a member of Triumph Baptist Church.
Mr. Arrington was a lifetime member of the Pride of Vidalia No. 106 Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Evelyn Johnson Arrington.
Survivors include four sons, Malcolm Arrington and wife, Kim, of Powder Springs, Ga., Rickey Arrington and wife, Deidra, William Arrington Jr., all of Vidalia, and Kelvin Arrington of Houston; three daughters, Patricia A. Profice and husband, Carl, Nada Riley, all of Natchez, and Trudy Williams and husband, Bob, of Vidalia; one brother, Clarence and wife, Olivia, of Los Angeles; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
