VIDALIA — Services for William Henry “Buddy” Arrington Sr., 90, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. today at Triumph Baptist Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Doug Logan officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Mr. Arrington was born Oct. 4, 1926, in Vidalia, the son of James and Dora Glasper Arrington.
He was retired from the city water department as a water purifier. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a lifetime member of the Pride of Vidalia No. 106 Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn Johnson Arrington; and son-in-law, Bernard Riley.
Survivors include four sons, Malcolm Arrington and wife, Kim, of Powder Springs, Ga., Rickie Arrington and wife, Deirdra, and William Arrington Jr., all of Vidalia, and Kelvin Arrington of Houston; three daughters, Patricia Profice and husband, Carl, and Nada Riley, all of Natchez, and Trudy Williams and husband, Bob, of Vidalia; one brother, Clarence Arrington and wife, Olivia, of Los Angeles; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
