EUFAULA, Ala. — Memorial services for Lucy Barker Pomeroy, 95, of Eufaula, Ala., who died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at Henry County Health and Rehab, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Chapman Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ken Bush officiating.
Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery Addition under the direction of Chapman Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pomeroy was born June 27, 1921, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Clinton and Lucy Delano Burbank.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Lewis Chapter. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Eufaula and was a former member of the Bluff City Garden Club.
Mrs. Pomeroy was a graduate of Hunter College in New York City.
Survivors include two sons, Robert W. “Bob” Pomeroy and wife, Marsha, of Eufaula, and Clinton B. “Clint” Pomeroy Sr. and wife, Patricia, of Natchez; four grandchildren, Marjorie P. Baker and husband, Royal, of Thomasville, Ga., Robert F. Pomeroy and wife, Megan, of Eufaula, Clinton B. Pomeroy Jr. and wife, Jessica, of Mantachie, and Lesley P. Hughes and husband, Tance, of Vidalia.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Katie Duncan DAR School or to Gideon’s International.
