See you at Christmas parade today

We all know the old saying, “Good things come to those who wait” and today in downtown Natchez that will certainly be the case.

Although rain literally put a damper on the schedule for last week’s Christmas Parade, the weather forecast for this afternoon’s rescheduled parade looks great.

Even Old Man Winter chose to lend a hand and bring in a cold sprinkle to make the day seem more Christmas-like.

Today’s parade is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. and promises to be a great time for you and old alike.

If you’ve been feeling a little “bah humbug” lately, cast away those Christmas blues today and join the fun.

The wonderful people behind the parade and the many other Christmas in Natchez events have worked hard over the last few years to ramp up Natchez’s celebration of the biggest holiday America celebrates.

But it is only fun if you join in on the party. Even if parades are not normally of high interest to you, seeing the joy of Christmas in the eyes of the many children who will line the streets is certainly enough to melt even the most Grinch-like hearts out there.

We will see you at the parade and we hope you all have a merry Christmas.
