FERRIDAY — Services for Costa L. Pryor, 60, of Ferriday, who died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church with the Rev. Justin Conner officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Pryor was born March 3, 1956, in Natchez, the son of Willie and Irma Crumb Pryor.
He was retired from the Concordia Parish Police Jury where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.
Mr. Pryor was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include five brothers, Willie Pryor Jr., Michael Pryor, Grayland Pryor and wife, Lola, all of Ferriday, Donald Pryor Sr. and wife, Rita, of San Diego, Calif., and Shelton Pryor Sr. and wife, Barbara, of Harvey, La.; four sisters, Carol Smith of Clayton, Gail Pryor and Kimberly Pryor, both of Ferriday, and Zina P. Butler and husband, Andrew, of Houston; one aunt, Emmalene C. Broom of Ferriday; 10 nephews; four nieces; 18 great-nieces and great-nephews; a nephew he raised as his own, Howard Johnson of Lake Charles, La.; and a special cousin, Prince Broom Jr. of Fairburn, Ga.
