NATCHEZ — The Natchez Board of Aldermen voted unanimously Tuesday afternoon to hire Interim Tourism and Tricentennial Director Jennifer Ogden Combs as the city’s permanent tourism director.

While the board voted to hire Combs, she has not officially accepted the job. Salary negotiations and other details have yet to be worked out.

Mayor Darryl Grennell also announced that City Clerk Melissa Hawk is resigning her position to return to Georgia to attend to family matters.
