NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Bobby Scudamore, 70, of Natchez, who died Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Natchez City Cemetery with Rev. David O’Connor officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Mr. Scudamore was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Natchez, the son of Robert “Watt” and Margaret Scudamore.
He was a 1965 graduate of Cathedral High School and a 1969 graduated of the University of Mississippi with a degree in accounting. He worked for a number of years as an accountant. Bobby was a devout Catholic and a lifelong member of St. Mary Basilica.
His kind, caring, and thoughtful nature made him a wonderful friend to anyone in need. He was a faithful volunteer to the Stewpot for a number of years. His love of outdoors led him to receive the Master Gardner title. He enjoyed traveling and loved the Ole Miss Rebels and the New Orleans Saints. Bobby also served as the first king of Mardi Gras for the Krewe de Who.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathy Mallory; and one niece, Janet Dillard.
Survivors include one sister, Ruthie Cole; eight nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and great-nephews; two great-great-nephews; and lifelong friends, Felice Fortenberry and Janine Haile.
Memorial contributions may be made to Cathedral School.
