NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Frances Herring, 89, of Natchez, formerly of Fayette, who died Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rev. Doug Broome officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Herring was born Oct. 31, 1927, in Wisner, La., the daughter of Archie and Ceclia Allbritton.
She was a loving homemaker to her husband and children.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph Edgar Herring; one son, Howard Herring; one daughter, Loraine Reppond; one great-grandson, Eli Joshua Britt; four brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include one son, Homer Herring and wife, Cathy, of Brandon; three daughters, Dorothy Ann Wylie and husband, Bob, of Kilbourne, La., Mary Jo Britt and husband, Foster, of Natchez, and Virginia Smith and fiancé, Walter, of Sarasota, Fla.; one sister, Irene Lee and husband, Charles, of Wisner, La.; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Carl Britt, Joseph Herring, Herman Smith, L.C. Smith, Jeremy Herring and great-grandson, Brannon Herring.
