NATCHEZ — Services for Mary L. White, 84, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Jefferson County Nursing Home, will be 11 a.m. today at Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Singleton was born July 16, 1932, in Adams County, the daughter of Louis and Estella White.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Singleton Jr.; two sons, Ronnie and Lewis Singleton; and one brother, Whitley White.
Survivors include eight daughters, Betty Thomas and husband, Louis, Shirley Singleton and husband, Terry, and Sharon Singleton and husband, Dante, all of Natchez, Corine Wilson and husband, Steve, Barbara Singleton and Mary Anglin, all of Milwaukee, Wis., Marilyn Robinson and husband, S.L., of Austin, Texas, and Jane McDonald and husband, Greg, of Washington state; three sons, George Singleton of Natchez, Carlton Singleton of Milwaukee and Eric Singleton and wife, Litera, of Washington state; one sister, Hattie W. Stanton; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Dr. Lauree Thomas; and a number of other relatives and friends.
