NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Brady, 88, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at her residence, will be 10 a.m. Friday at Zion Hill Baptist Church No. 1 with the Rev. Joe W. Pickett officiating.  02_16-marybrady-obitpic
Burial will follow at the Natchez National Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church.
Mrs. Brady was born Oct. 22, 1928, in Natchez, the daughter of James Blanton and Aliner Hampton Blanton.
She retired 1990 from the Natchez-Adams School District food services. She was a senior member of the choir at Zion Hill.
Mrs. Brady enjoyed fishing, cooking, raising her grandchildren and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, LaDine Brady Washington; two sisters, Rosetta Blanton White and Elouise Blanton Hassen; and four brothers, James Blanton Jr., David Blanton Sr., Floyd Blanton and Morris Blanton.
Survivors include a devoted son-in-law, Francis Earl Washington; two grandchildren, Courtney Washington and Damian Washington; one sister, Johnette Myles; one brother, Willie Blanton; and a number of other relatives and friends.
