NATCHEZ — Services for Mattie S. Banks, 66, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Grove African Methodist Episcopal Church with the Rev. Keith Berry officiating.  
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Ms. Banks was born Jan. 21, 1951, in Natchez, the daughter of Leonard Skipper and Susie Skipper.
She was retired from Johns Manville. She was also Methodist.
Ms. Banks was preceded in death by her parents; two children, Samuel and Cynthia Banks; five sisters; and four brothers.
Survivors include four children, Cynthia Skipper, Patrick Banks and companion, Joyce Hargrave, Peter Banks Jr., and companion, Veronica McMorris, and Kevin Banks and wife, Tina; one sister, Hattie Dennis; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Rosie Skipper; one goddaughter, Amanda Skipper; and a number of other relatives and friends.
