Adams County Christian School fell behind 20-9 after the first quarter and never could recover as it fell to Bowling 56-32 in the MAIS AAA South State championship game.
The Lady Rebels (24-6) reached double figures in scoring in just one quarter and trailed 31-17 at the half.
“Bowling Green came out and they were on fire from the beginning,” ACCS coach Melanie Hall said. “They had the type of game you want to have in the championship, and we didn’t play well on either side of the ball … To God be the glory, win or lose.”
Bailey Boyd led ACCS with 15 points, while Anna McDaniel chipped in with 10.
Hollie Waskom led Bowling Green with 21 points.
ACCS will enter next week’s state tournament at Kirk Academy in Grenada as the No. 2 seed from the South.
“I believe in my girls,” Hall said.
