U.S. 61 South gas station robbed at gunpoint

NATCHEZ — A masked gunman robbed a U.S. 61 South gas station Thursday night, the second such store robbed in three days.
Natchez Police Department Lt. Kenneth Stampley said a masked man entered Kaiser’s on U.S. 61 South near the intersection of Col. Pitchford Parkway shortly after 9 p.m., pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.
The suspect, who is described as a black man wearing a black mask and gloves, then reportedly fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was reported injured in the robbery.
A masked man armed with a handgun reportedly robbed Kaiser’s on U.S. 61 North Tuesday evening and got away with $1,500.
No arrests have been made.
Stampley said officers would be reviewing security footage of Thursday’s robbery as soon as possible.
