NATCHEZ — Services for William “Bap” Lyles Jr., 56, of Natchez, who died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, at his residence, will be noon Saturday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sibley with the Rev. LeRoy White officiating.
Burial will follow at Mercy Seat Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Lyles was born Aug. 1, 1960, in Natchez, the son of Williams Lyles Jr. and Hattie Lyles.
He attended South Natchez High School and was employed by Arthur’s Tire Service.
Mr. Lyles was Baptist and enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Natasha Lyles.
Survivors include his wife, Juanella “Sally” Lyles; two children, Toya Green and William Lyles III of Natchez; four grandchildren, Racheal, Bethany and Clarence “P3,” all of Natchez, and Zi’Riyah of Baton Rouge; five sisters, Bridget Woods and husband, Eric, Linda Perry and husband, Joseph, Debra Whittley and husband, David, and Amber Shannon and husband, Jamal, all of Natchez, and Contreal Lyles and wife, Julia, of Las Vegas; extended family, Arthur’s Tire Service; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
