NATCHEZ — Services for Alma Delaughter Maddox, 97, of Natchez, who died, Wednesday, March 2, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Denny Calloway and Dick Root officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Maddox was Aug. 29, 1919, in Brookhaven, the daughter of William T. Delaughter and Ozzie Kelley Delaughter.

She was a homemaker and was also employed for 16 years as a customer service representative with McRae’s Department Store.

Mrs. Maddox was a member of Briarwood Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Inez Walcott, Mildred Vedrenne, and Marguerite Tirrill; two brothers, Ray Delaughter and Monty Delaughter.

Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Maddox and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Belinda Hollins.

Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society or Mt. Dora Christian Academy and Children’s Home, 301 W. 13th Ave., Mount Dora, Fla., 32757.
