VIDALIA — Services for Kay Margaret Hawkes, 61, of Vidalia, who died Friday, March 3, 2017, at Merit Health Natchez, will be 1 p.m. today at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Xavier officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church.

Ms. Hawkes was born March 9, 1955, in Natchez, the daughter of JR and Elsie Hawkes.

She attended Ferriday High School and was a self-employed caregiver.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Gary Hawkes.

Survivors include two sisters, Cathy Metcalf and husband, Bud, and Charlotte Watson and husband, Barney; one sister-in-law, Margaret Hawkes; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be family members.
