NATCHEZ — Services for Katie Genelle Hall, 80, who died Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland surrounded by her family, will be 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Paul McElroy officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hall was born Sept. 2, 1936, in Dyersburg, Tenn., the daughter of Ernest David Dunavant and Mary Belle French Dunavant.
She married the love of her life, William Herbert (Shorty) Hall and was married for 57 loving years. Mrs. Hall was a faithful and dedicated member of 61 South Church of Christ in Natchez.
Mrs. Hall was a loving person who loved to talk and get to know everyone she met. She enjoyed visiting with people, spending time outside listening to the birds and tending to her beautiful flowers on her patio and lawn.
Mrs. Hall is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.
Survivors include two sons, John Hall and wife, Cynthia, of Natchez, and Carlton Hall and wife, Tammy, of Clinton; two daughters, Cheryl Hall Richardson and husband, Gary, of Natchez, and Darlene Hall Pike of Russellville, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Chasity Hall Skates, Kristie Hall Cole, Jeremy Richardson, Mitchell Richardson, Keri Patrick Arnold, Drew Hall, Matthew Kendall, Meagan Davis and Matthew Pike; 14 great-grandchildren;  three brothers, Bobby Dunavant and wife, Jo, Bruce Guillory and wife, Pauline, and Michael Guillory; and one sister, Tina Dunavant.
Pallbearers will be Drew Hall, Jeremy Richardson, Mitchell Richardson, Matthew Kendall, Jason Dunavant, Jered Skates and Glen Smith.
