RIDGECREST — A memorial service for Carno Peoples, 82, of Ridgecrest, who died Monday, March 6, 2017, in Alexandria, La., will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgecrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Denny Braswell and the Rev. Bo Swilley officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Peoples was born July 31, 1934, in Fort Necessity, La., the son of David Franklin Peoples and May Bell Davis Peoples.
He was preceded in death by his parents; the mother of his children, Anna Jo Peoples; one daughter, Janice Arthur Carroll; one grandson, Derrick Arthur; one granddaughter, Lori Ann Evans; one sister, Elayne Forrest; and one brother, Jesse Peoples.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Arthur Peoples; three sons, James Leon Peoples and wife, Teresa, and Glynn Peoples and wife, Susie, all of Ferriday, and Jimmy Arthur and wife, Edwina, of Schriever, La.; three daughters, Dianne Johnston and husband, Nigel, of Ferriday, Wendy Brownell and husband, Leon, of Ridgecrest, and Judy Taber and husband, Brian, of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Willie Robertson of Jerseyville, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
