ROXIE — Services for Luther Ray “Heavy” Harris Sr., 67, of Roxie, who died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Baton Rouge General Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at East Roxie Church of Christ with the Rev. Issac Tenner officiating.  
Burial will follow at Meadville-New Fork Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the Bude chapel and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.
Mr. Harris was born June 7, 1949, in Roxie, the son of Rassie Jackson and Lula Harris.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Katie Morgan, Rosie Sanders and Dorothy Williams; and three brothers, Lonnie Ray Harris Sr., Lawrence Sanders and Van Harris.
Survivors include four daughters, Lula Bell of Springfield, Ill., LaShanda Harris and Crystal Anderson, both of Natchez, and Coreen Johnson of Nolanville, Texas; three sons, Luther Ray Harris Jr. of Kenner, La., Samuel Harris of Houston and Myron Harris of Prattville, Ala.; two sisters, Beatrice Stampley and Pearlie Green; two brothers, L.J. White and Pearlie White, all of Roxie; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
