Experience evening of Jewish music

Back by popular demand, “An Evening of Jewish Music and Heritage,” with Dr. David Goldblatt and Beau Bumgardner. This program was well received in February of last year, with Teri Tillman and Dr David Goldblatt. We are happy that Spring Pilgrimage has included the program for Thursday, March 23, and Thursday, March 30, at Temple B’nai Israel from 7-8 p.m. A donation of $15 per person will be collected at the door. No reservations are necessary.

The program will immerse you in a history of the Natchez Jewish community, and the role it played in Natchez’s rich, multicultural history. Dr. David Goldblatt will accompany Beau Bumgardner’s historical commentary with a musical presentation of traditional Jewish music.

Temple B’nai Israel’s 1905 neoclassical building is among the most beautiful structures in Natchez, with soaring ceilings, stained-glass windows, an Italian marble ark and a pipe organ dating back more than a century. Members of the congregation work to assure a future for the building.
