BUDE — Services for Jacob Allen Sr., 78, of Roxie, who died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at his residence, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Marshall Funeral Home Bude Chapel.  
Burial will follow at Higdon Community Church Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Bude Chapel.
Mr. Allen was born June 5, 1938, in Louisiana, the son of Nora Allen Sr. and Weata Applewhite Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lizzie Allen, Dessie Allen and Essie Hines; one brother, Nora Allen Jr.; and one sister-in-law, Margaret R. Haynes-Allen.
Survivors include three daughters, Walisha “Lisa” Allen Green, Torry Monayie and Filicia Allen; one son, Jacob Allen Jr.; two sisters, Bessie Felton and Lillie Stampley; one brother, Claude Allen; three grandchildren, C.J. Hunt, Melvin Watts and Kentorria Moffit; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
