FERRIDAY — Services for Ora Grace Jackson, 82, of New Roads, La., formerly of Ferriday, who died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Baton Rouge General Hospital, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Harvest Baptist Church in Ferriday with the Rev. Charles G. Chandler officiating.
Burial will follow at the Ferriday Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home .
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jackson was born Dec. 2, 1934, in Goodpine, La., the daughter of Willie and Lucy Harrison Holly.
She was a retired fifth grade math and science teacher for Concordia Parish school system.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edward Jackson.
Survivors include two daughters, Regina Jackson of Ferriday and Lois Jackson Bridgewater and husband, Kevin, of New Roads; three brothers, Earl Holly of Albuquerque, N.M., Lionel Holly and wife, Alice, of Las Vegas, and Lawrence Holly and wife, Rosalind, of Denver; and twin granddaughters, Kaila and Melaina Jackson of Lafayette, La.
