Jeremy Houston portrays William Thompson during the presentation “Narrative of a Natchez Slave: One Man’s Quest to Freedom During Antebellum Natchez.” Houston reenacts the story of Thompson from the time when he was brought to Natchez in shackles in 1851 to when he ultimately freed himself from slavery and escaped to Canada. Narrative of a Natchez Slave is presented on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. during Spring Pilgrimage. For more information, visit natchezpilgrimage.com.
