NATCHEZ — Services for Mary Ella “Sal” Malone, 84, who died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, will be 1 p.m. today at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Kirby with the Rev. Dr. Steven Harrison officiating.

Burial will follow at Leesdale Cemetery under the direction of West Gate Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Malone was born Sept. 13, 1932, in Franklin County, the daughter of Ben Calcote and Ella Harris Calcote.
She was self-employed before she retired. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church where she served on the mothers’ board.
Mrs. Malone enjoyed attending church services, cooking, watching Steve Harvey shows and loving her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren J. Malone; six brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include two sons, Bennie Calcote and wife, Gwynevere, and Randy Malone and wife, Virginia; two daughters, Joyce Malone and Betty Malone; two sisters, Margaret Staten and husband, MacArthur, and Emma Lee Sanders; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.
