FAYETTE — Services for Catherine Stampley Green, 76, who died Friday, March 31, 2017, at Merit Health Central in Jackson, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Fayette.  
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at Spencer Funeral Home in Fayette.
Mrs. Green was born Dec. 27, 1940, in Stampley, the daughter of Deacon Roy Stampley and Katie Frye Stampley.
She was baptized and committed her life to Christ at an early age at Pine Grove Baptist Church. She attended Liddell (Jefferson) High School in Fayette.
Mrs. Green and Izear Green committed themselves into the holy union of marriage and God blessed them with 11 children.
Mrs. Green was very loving, caring and nurturing to everyone she met. One of her life’s passions was cooking, and she was a great cook. She was born with a goal which included raising her 11 children as well as her granddaughter and grandson whom she adopted. She was caregiver to her mother and father throughout their lives. Now that goal is complete.
