MCCOMB — Services for Johnnie Roy Morgan, 81, of McComb, who died Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones, will be 1 p.m. today at Navilla Baptist Church with the Rev. Trent Bilbo and deacon Glen Sharp officiating. 
Burial will follow at East Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Magnolia under the direction of Hartman-Jones Funeral Home in McComb.
Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.
Mr. Morgan was born May 4, 1935, in Pike County, the son of John Wesley and Talitha Cothern Morgan.
He was a retired mechanic and a supervisor for Croft Metals. He was a member of Navilla Baptist Church serving as a deacon. Other memberships included the Concordia Parish Water Works District No. 1 Board of Directors and the Masons Concordia Parish Lodge No. 305 and a 33rd degree Shriner.
Mr. Morgan was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who helped those in need. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed teaching his grandchildren fishing and how to string a trout line. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 56 years and the mother of his children, Alice Lucille Warner; one daughter, Alice Dianne Morgan; two sisters, Linda Jones and Thelma Hughes; and one stepson, Mike Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Willie Mae Hartley Conerly Morgan; one son, John Richard Morgan of El Dorado, Ark.; one daughter, Sheila Morgan Hillyard and husband, John, of McComb; five grandchildren, Virginia Hillyard Carter and husband, Jonathan, John Raymond “Trey” Hillyard and wife, Cara, Alice Dianne Hillyard Preeo and husband, Gage, Nicholas Seth Hillyard and Rachel Alexis Morgan; two step-grandchildren, Susan Dailey and Chris Jackson; seven great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; special cousin, James Morgan and wife, JoAnne; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ray Webb, Jeff Warner, Jonathan Carter, James Morgan, Joe McKenzie and Gage Preeo.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Warner, Chris Jackson and Steve McKenzie.
