FERRIDAY — Services for Berkley Olive “Miss Butch” Goodman, 90, of Ferriday, who died Friday, May 12, 2017, at her residence, were Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Young’s Funeral Home Chapel in Ferriday with the Rev. Clyde Ray Webber officiating.

Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Mrs. Goodman was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of Karl S. and Mary Foss Bennett.

She was a member of Ferriday Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack C. Goodman; her parents; and one brother, Larren Foss Bennett.

Survivors include two sons, Jack K. Goodman and Scott Goodman and wife, Suzanne, all of Natchez; one daughter, Terry Goodman of Wetumpka, Ala.; five grandchildren, Jack Goodman Jr. and wife, Connie, Mandy Wisner and husband, Glenn, Tiffany Goodman, Amy Prather and husband, Lance, and Russell Goodman; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and very special friends, Lola Patt, Mary Lawrence, Linda Brown and Frank Grantham.

Pallbearers were Jack Goodman Jr., Lance Prather, Russell Goodman, Blake Wallace, Cody Prather and Haden Crosby.

Honorary pallbearers were Glen Switzer, Rusty Boyd and Terry Thames.

The family extends a special thanks to caregivers, Sandra Jenkins, Julia Henry, Denise Tucker, Tina Shannon and Mary McQuarters and the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Department.
