Mr. Baroni was born April 23, 1922, in Adams County, the son of Attiglio Baroni and Antonia Maretti Baroni.

He was greatly loved by his family and friends and especially his 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.   After more than 30 years at Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company, he retired to pursue his favorite hobby — restoring old furniture and running a series of flea markets where he enjoyed meeting customers and making new friends from all over the world.  As a lifelong communicant of St. Mary Basilica, Louis spent many hours visiting the sick and the incarcerated, bringing his laughter and comfort to those in need. Many will recall his service as the timekeeper at most of Cathedral High School’s basketball games, well after his children had graduated.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Rushing Baroni and his eldest son, Neil Baroni.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Tarver and husband, Russell, of Trussville, Ala., and Rose Ann Miron and husband, Luis, of New Orleans; three sons, Philip Baroni and wife, Luanne Hales Baroni, of Little Rock, Ark., David Baroni and wife, Rita Phillips Baroni, of Spring Hill, Tenn., and Mark Baroni of Natchez; he was blessed with 14 beautiful grandchildren and 11 wonderful great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Warren of Natchez.

Pallbearers will be his sons Philip, David, and Mark Baroni, his sons-in-law Russell Tarver and Luis Miron, and family friend William Clay Arnold.

In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
