Kedric Troy Bindon, 45, who is reported to be homeless, was arrested Sunday on a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon and felony charges of shooting into a dwelling and possession of a stolen firearm.

Natchez police report Bindon’s aunt told police her nephew fired a shot into her residence at approximately 5:50 p.m. while she and her friend were inside.

Bindon’s aunt, the report states, told police that Kedric Bindon had attempted to enter her residence without consent, as she “told him several times he could not come inside.”

Angered, she reported, Kedric Bindon then allegedly fired one round from a revolver through the front door of the residence with the bullet passing just below the doorknob.

Police encountered the suspect at J.R. Food Mart shortly after the alleged shooting, finding the stolen revolver in Kedric Bindon’s possession.

Police reported Bindon was compliant when officers approached him.

Bindon was being held Monday without bond.
