The Ferriday Gators saw their World Series run and season come to an end Tuesday night as they dropped their second game of the Dixie Debs tournament to host team Alexandria, 7-1.

Brianna Henson pitched all seven innings, recording five strikeouts but the Gators could never find enough offense to pull ahead.

The Gators had a chance to come within reach during the third inning with two runners on base, but a home run-length hit from Jania Burns was ruled foul just over the left field line.
