James “Jimmy” Rachal

NATCHEZ — Services for Jimmy Rachal, 56, of Denton, Texas, formally of Natchez, who died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Dallas, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Johnese officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon to service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Rachal was born Oct. 17, 1960, in Monroe, La., the son of Otis John Rachal and Glenda Smith Benefield.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and watching Nascar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, John Paul Rachal; infant son, Garrett Tyler Rachal; maternal grandmother, Lela Tanner; Father and mother-In-law, Ray and Lola Johnese.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Glennis Rachal; son, Joshua Rachal and Fiance, Elizabeth Tate; daughter, Trinidad Rachal Smith and husband, Justin; grandson, Roman Smith; sister, Penny Moore Sandie Moore and family; sister-in-law, Scarlett Shupe Eidt and husband, Chuck; two nephews, John Christian Rachal and wife, Lacie; their children, John Bennett, Kaylea and Timber; James Ryan Rachal and wife, Jessica; one niece, Sandra Rachal Davidson, and her children, KaLeigh and Bland; brother-In-law, Jimmy Johnese and his children; brother-In-law, Justin Johnese and wife, Kim, their children.

Pallbearers will be Justin Johnese, Jimmy Johnese, Randy Garrison, Justin Emfinger, William Merriett and Greg Ketchings.

Honary Pallbearers will be Christian Rachal, Ryan Rachal, Chuck Eidt, Stan Davidson and David Emfinger.

Memorials may be made to the MS Foundation.
