NATCHEZ — Services for mother Louise Myles “Bit” Dunmore, 77, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017, in Arlington, Texas, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Hope the Vision Center with the Rev. Stanley Searcy officiating.
Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dunmore was born Feb. 2, 1940, in Natchez, the daughter of Caleb and Betty Myles.
She was formerly employed by Diamond International Company and she was a professional sitter. She was retired.
Mrs. Dunmore was a formal member of Zion Watts and Pleasant Green Baptist Churches and for more than 20 years, she was a member of New Hope the Vision Center and served on the mother board until she died. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and crocheting.
Mrs. Dunmore was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lubethea Hunter; three brothers, Theodore Myles, Robert Myles and James Myles; and one great-grandson, Brandon Curtis Jr.
Survivors include her loving husband, Horace Dunmore; six children, Pamela Williams and husband, Roger, Deloris Betters and husband, James, Richard Curtis and wife, Jackie, Aaron Curtis and wife, Tiffany, Caroline Deason and husband, the Rev. Kevin Deason, and Cameron Dunbar; extended sons, Jeff Holmes Jr. and Fredrick David Taylor; grandchildren, Alisha and Roger Williams, Kenera Colley, Richardo and Valenthia Curtis, Latanya Scott, Aaron Curtis Jr., Taylor, Asia, Jordan and Chris, Kenderick, Tequana and Brandon; extended grandchild, Natasha Posey; three sisters, Lucinda Terrell and husband, Judge, Betty Minor and Mary Myles Johnson; two brothers, William Henry and Izear Myles; one goddaughter, Sameia Hoggatt; 31 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
