VIDALIA — Services for Bernice Marie Floyd, 80, of Vidalia, who died Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, in Ferriday, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church in Vidalia with the Rev. Clay Kelly and the Rev. Ronald Hall officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Ms. Floyd was born March 5, 1937, in Littleton, Colo., the daughter of Charles Hamilton and Juana Bargus.
She was a member of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. She loved her children and grandchildren, and especially the holidays they shared together.
Ms. Floyd was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Daniel Franklin.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Franklin and Bobby Franklin, both of Vidalia; three daughters, Darlene Weatherly and Betty Parker of Vidalia, and Lahomia Burr and husband, Jewell, of Columbia, La.; two brothers, Gilford Hamilton of Ferriday and Robert “Bobby” Hamilton of Pea Ridge, Ark.; one sister, Juanita Tate of Dyersburg, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Nicki, Miranda, Trae, Holly, Jamie, Denise, Stanley, Clay, Maria and Cody; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Pallbearers will be Tristan Weatherly, Dustin Birley, Michael Franklin, Teryl Jones, Michael Jones, Edward L. Franklin and Bubba Burr.
