Even though Adams County Christian School had trouble moving the ball at times against a tough Silliman Institute defense, the Rebels did just enough to pull out a win over the Wildcats Friday night in the MAIS District 5-AAA opener for both teams, 20-0.

Jacob McDaniel, DyKevis Ford and Demarlon Lewis each had touchdown runs for ACCS, which had the majority of its offense on the ground — 157 of its 212 total yards. McDaniel got the Rebels on the board with a 7-yard touchdown run with just 19 seconds left in the second quarter as they went into halftime up 7-0.

After a scoreless third quarter, Ford added a 30-yard touchdown run at the 6:05 mark of the fourth quarter. Cris Thompson’s extra point made it 14-0 in favor of the Rebels. Then with 1:43 left, Lewis scored on a 6-yard run.
