NATCHEZ — Services for Cynthia Ann Barlow Smith, 67, of Natchez, who died Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 at her residence, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Parkway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Brewer officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Smith was born Dec. 17, 1949 in De Ritter, La., the daughter of Louis and Violet Davidson Richmond. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.

She was a retired educator and administrator at the Natchez-Adams School District, Vidalia Public Schools, Trinity Day School, Adams County Christian School and was a member of the Natchez-Adams School Board.

Her passion was educating children in our Miss-Lou area and her legacy will continue through all the lives that she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Donald Joseph Barlow, one sister, Joy Knight, and one brother, Jimmie Richmond.

Survivors include her husband James O. Smith of Natchez; one son, Jeff Barlow and wife Scottie of Paducah, Ky.; two daughters, Shannon Daughty and husband, Darin of Gulfport.; Ali Mascagni and husband, Shawn, of Petal; three step-daughters, Kristi Williams and husband, Bill, of Madison, Kim Wyatt and husband, Chuck, of Dallas and Amy Quinn and husband, Joe, of Brandon grandchildren, Eric James of Natchez, Mollie Burts of Gulfport, Kathleen Barlow, Anna Grace Barlow, Lily Barlow and Joseph Barlow, all of Paducah, Ky.; and a number of step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bill James, Richie Spears, Nick Peterman, David King, Cleveland Moore and Chase Patrick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eric James, Joseph Barlow, Sammy Quadan, Shawn Mascagni, Darin Daughty and Kent King.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
