CORINTH — Services for Myrtle Auline Phipps Arnold Nicholas, 83, who died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, will be 3 p.m. Friday at Corinth Church of Christ.

Burial will follow at Phipps Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church.

Mrs. Nicholas was born and raised in the Buffalo community, the daughter of Grady W. Phipps and Vallie Mae Wisner Phipps. She was retired from Angola State Penitentiary.

Mrs. Nicholas was the mother of seven children.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Gene Alton Arnold Sr., and Raymond Nicholas; her parents; one son, Barry L. Arnold; one brother, William Levell Phipps; and two grandchildren, Wesley Arnold and Shellie Auline Arnold.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeannie Arnold; five sons, Gene A. Arnold Jr., Grady M. Arnold, Clifford Dean Arnold and wife, Phylis, Roger D. Arnold and wife, Angela, and Lenny D. Arnold; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Olwen Taylor and husband, James.

Pallbearers will be Devin Arnold, Brandon Edwards, Robbie Arnold, Billy S. Hembree, Dallas Arnold and Quentin Williams.
