WOODVILLE — Service for Verlee Blackmore, 65, who died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Pointe Coupee General Hospital in New Roads, La., will be at noon Monday at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Woodville with the Rev. Allen Handy officiating.

Burial will follow at Stewart Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mrs. Blackmore was born July 25, 1952 in Woodville, the daughter of Severe and Mary Bolden Gaines.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Bolden-Davis and Jannie Lee White, and one niece, Monica Arnese Gaines.

Survivors include her husband, Pink Blackmore III; her parents; three children Erica Aguillard and her husband, Chad, from Ventress, La., Pink Blackmore IV and Derrin Davis, both of Woodville; three sisters, Essie Tolliver and her husband, Kenny, Tracey Arbuthnot and her husband Troy and Ina Walker and her husband, Gabriel; two brothers, Tony Gaines and his wife, Sheree, and Isaac Gaines and his wife, Essa, all of Woodville; one special son, Derrick Brown and his wife, Vicki; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
