Viola Sanders McDonald

ROXIE — Funeral services for Viola Sanders McDonald, 73, who died Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at her residence, will be 1 p.m. today at Higdon Community Church in Roxie with the Rev. Charles Butler officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon until service time today at the church.

Mrs. McDonald was born on Nov. 9, 1943 in Franklin County, the daughter of Arie Sanders.

She was a faithful member of Higdon Community Church and served on the church’s mother board.

Mrs. McDonald was preceded in death by her husband, Leo McDonald; her mother; one daughter, Katie McDonald; one sister, Mary S. White; one brother, Roosevelt Sanders; and one grandson, Elijah McDonald.

Survivors include three loving daughters, Gloria Smith, Therosine McDonald and Arlene McDonald; three devoted sons, Willie McDonald, La Travis McDonald and Jo McDonald; and a number of relatives and friends.
