VIDALIA — Memorial services for Jack Archer, 78, of Natchez, who died Nov. 4, 2017, after a brief illness, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Vidalia.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe, La.

Mr. Archer was born Oct. 15, 1939, the son of Oscar Lee Archer and Lela Margaret Zink. Jack enjoyed working as a business owner and providing service to his customers. He adored his dog Mocha. Watching sports was his favorite pastime. Jack took pleasure in working on small engines with his brother.

He loved going to McDonald’s in Vidalia and having coffee with his friends in their coffee club, as well as spending time with his family.

Mr. Archer was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Harald Archer and Bill Archer; and one sister, Betty Fields.

Survivors include his three sons, Trey Archer and wife, Victoria, Tyler Archer and wife, Angela, and Jackie Archer and wife, Beth; one daughter, Paula Archer Godwin and husband, John; nine grandchildren, Ashley Hanna, Emily Guzman, Johanna Godwin, Drew Archer, Railee Archer, Avery Archer, Sophia Archer, Matthew Archer and Jack Carter Archer; one brother, Rex Archer and wife, Carol; one sister, Mary Lou Janeway and husband, Ken; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
