NATCHEZ — Services for Brenda Louise Boyte, 70, of Natchez who died Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, will be 11 a.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Carl Smith officiating.

Burial will be 2 p.m. today at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Brookhaven under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Boyte was born Aug. 20, 1947, in Brookhaven, the daughter of Ruie Lamar Boyte and Dollie Saralina White Boyte.

She was a librarian at Judge George Armstrong Public Library. She was also a librarian at Washington Baptist Church and had worked as a legal secretary in Natchez for a number of years. Mrs. Boyte was a member of Washington Baptist Church, choir member and served as the church secretary. She loved her family, family gatherings and events.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Wendell Boyte; and one sister, Doskie “Dot” Boyte Brister.

Survivors include one brother, Carlos Boyte and wife, Margaret, of Hattiesburg; one sister-in-law, Helen Boyte; four nieces, Dawn Jones and husband, Wess, Donna Walker and husband, Steve, Jeanne Carlson and husband, Alan, and Wendy Burns and husband, Jody; three nephews, Joe Boyte and wife, Marie, Laron Boyte and Lamar Boyte and wife, Mary Jane; and a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Boyte, Lamar Boyte, Laron Boyte, Alan Carlson, Wess Jones and Steve Walker.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Baptist Church, 39 Old Highway 84 No. 1, Natchez, MS 39120.
