Come to St. Mary Basilica breakfast with Santa

Back by popular demand — Santa is coming to town and will be at the St. Mary Family Life Center on Saturday, Dec. 2 — and Mrs. Claus will be joining him!

Has your little one been really good? Are they excited about Christmas yet? Well, it’s time to amp things up a bit and bring on the holiday cheer by bringing them to the St. Mary CYO Pancake Breakfast with Santa!

Last year’s breakfast was such a hit and so many little ones enjoyed themselves — eating a delicious breakfast, visiting and taking pictures with Santa, coloring and playing with friends — that we really hope you can join us this year at the St. Mary CYO Pancake Breakfast with Santa!

Come make lasting memories with your little ones by sharing some up close and personal time with ol’ Saint Nick himself. St. Mary’s CYO youth will be up very early helping Santa and Mrs. Claus get everything ready for the big event to make it extra special.

This breakfast is one of the major fundraisers for the St. Mary CYO. Our youth participate in community services and activities throughout the year, such as working at the Stewpot, delivering poinsettias to the homebound, collecting donations for the Natchez Adams County Humane Society and the Stewpot and so much more. Part of the proceeds from this breakfast will help send the youth on their next Catholic Heart Work Camp mission trip next summer, which will be in Oklahoma City, Okla. There are 34 teens and six adults attending camp this year and we are so grateful for the fabulous support of our parish and our community, for without you all the many things we do with our youth at St. Mary would not be possible.

This youth trip provides service opportunities to restore homes and hearts, feed the hungry, lift the spirits of children, bring joy to the elderly and disabled and offer assistance while partnering with social agencies. Our youth grow so much on these trips — helping them become better leaders of tomorrow.

So plan on starting your day the merry way with Santa and Mrs. Claus and help our youth at the same time from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the O’Connor Family Life Center, 613 Main St.

Tickets are $6 per person and breakfast includes pancakes, sausage, milk and juice. You must show ticket at the door. Buying tickets in advance is greatly encouraged as there is limited seating. Tickets are available for purchase from members of St. Mary CYO or in the St. Mary Basilica office. Call Carrie Lambert at 601-445-5616 or email stmaryyouth@cableone.net for further information.
