FERRIDAY — Memorial services for Doris Marie Gilmore, 56, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at her residence, will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Ms. Gilmore was born Jan. 31, 1961, in New Orleans, the daughter of Calvin Gilmore and Irene Tyler.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Doris Gilmore.

Survivors include one son, Session Bosley Jr.; four daughters, Tameka Gilmore and companion, Charles Curry, and Fredlena Gilmore, all of Ferriday, Irene Gilmore of Lafayette, La., and Lora Ann Gilmore and companion, Reginald Moody, of New Orleans; two brothers, Calvin C. Gilmore and wife, Kathleen, of New Orleans, and Terry Gilmore of Atlanta; four sisters, Joyce Minor and Ann Gilmore, both of Ferriday, Sharice Norman and Sharrin Charles, both of New Orleans; one aunt, Johnette Jackson and husband, Roosevelt; one uncle, O.C. Tyler, all of New Orleans; and 21 grandchildren.
